John Paro, President and Chief Executive Officer of The HallStar Company since May 2006, was elected Chairman of the Board on July 30, 2009. He succeeds George Vincent, who served as Chairman for 23 years before retiring in 2009. Vincent will continue to sit on the Board of Directors.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chemistry Council and has served as the Chairman of the Illinois Chemical Council. He is a contributing member of a number of other industry associations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
