Insect Repellent Broad Spectrum SPF ~32, PFA (PPD) ~17 Sunscreen Lotion Spray

This globally positioned formula delivers superior broad-spectrum protection with daily wear quality esthetics by using elegant sunscreen solvent HallBrite® BHB with HallBrite® PSF, the silicone-based triplet state quencher, to photostabilize Avobenzone. SPF and PFA are in vitro estimates. Critical wavelengh = 376 nm. The formula also contains neem oil, a natural product with documented insect repellent properties, for which insect repellency claims cannot currently be made in the U.S.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To the main vessel, add the water of phase A and dissolve Disodium EDTA with mixing. Once dissolved, add the Xanthan Gum and mix until fully incorporated. Start heating phase A to 70°C and then add premixed phase B to phase A with continued mixing.
2To the secondary vessel, add phase C, begin mixing and heating to 70°C. Add phase D to phase C with continued mixing.
3Once homogenous, add phase E ingredients in order to phase CD. When phase CDE is homogenous, add phase F to it and continue mixing until dispersed. When both phases AB and CDEF are homogenous and at temperature, add oil phase CDEF to water phase AB with mixing. After 5 minutes, homogenize for 3 minutes or until batch reaches 55°C and then resume prop mixing and cooling.
4At 50°C or lower, very slowly add premixed phase G and continue mixing for 20 minutes. Replace any water lost to evaporation and mix until smooth. Once cooled to desired temperature, remove from mixer and perform final quality assurance checks.
