PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

Add phase A to a secondary vessel, start mixing. Add phase B to phase A with continued mixing and begin heating to 80°C.
When phase AB is fully dispersed, add phase C to phase AB, in order, and when homogeneous add phase D to phase ABC and mix well.
Add the water from phase E to the main vessel and begin mixing. Then add the Disodium EDTA to the water and mix until fully dissolved.
Once the Disodium EDTA is dissolved, add the Xanthan Gum and mix until fully incorporated. Begin heating phase E to 75°C.
After phase E has been heated, add the phase F premix. When both phases ABCD and EF are at their designated temperatures, slowly add the oil phase (ABCD) to the water phase (EF) with prop mixing. After 2 min, homogenize for 3 min and then resume prop mixing.
Start cooling and when batch is <50°C add phase G, mix well and continue cooling to room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation.
